Sarasota - Bradenton International Airport is our closest airport.
Only 40 minutes from Englewood, this airport is our first choice. It is
served by several major carriers. To get to Englewood, follow the signs to
I-75. Then follow our directions from the
North.
Southwest Florida International Airport, in Fort Myers, is about an
hour and fifteen minutes South of Englewood. If convenient service to
Sarasota - Bradenton is not available, try Fort Myers. The major carriers
have a very wide selection of flights in and out of Fort Myers. The
airport is conveniently located next to I-75. To get to Englewood, follow
the signs to I-75. Then follow our directions
from the South.
Tampa International Airport is the major airport
of Southwest Florida. Tampa International is two hours North of Englewood.
Although less convenient for Englewood air travelers, you may want to
consider Tampa because of the number of flights. To get to Englewood from
Tampa or St. Petersburg - Clearwater, follow the signs to I-275 - South.
This will take you across The Sunshine Skyway Bridge (Toll $1.00). Then
follow our directions from the North.
St. Petersburg - Clearwater International Airport is a fast growing
airport. The "Discount Airlines", such as Sun Jet, have been
moving into St. Pete - Clearwater. It is about one hour and forty-five
minutes to Englewood, . Directions to Englewood are the same as from
Tampa.
Venice Airport is used by charter and private craft. Venice is only
twenty minutes (longer during The Season) North of Englewood. To
get to Englewood, take Route 41, The Tamiami Trail, South to State Road
776. South on 776 will bring you to the middle of Englewood.
Buchan Air Field is located right in Old Englewood. It's grass
landing strip is used by private aircraft.
